Without Silia
- Empty returns by default
- Matching from memory alone
- Return margin left behind
Backhaul Opportunity Detector
Part of the Logistics
Detects compatible return loads for every truck before it heads back empty, calculates incremental margin and queues each one for one-click approval.
Logistics
The context
Every empty return trip is margin that never existed
When a truck delivers its load, it heads back empty unless someone spotted a compatible return in time. Up to 30% of return trips could carry freight if detected 24 to 48 hours ahead, and that matching depends entirely on the memory of the operations team on shift.
The solution
Loaded returns detected before the truck departs
Silia takes every active load with a known destination and searches planned loads whose origin sits within the configured radius and pickup window. Each opportunity arrives with estimated incremental margin, and operations approves with one click before contact.
Key capabilities
What the agent does in your operation.
Geographic matching
Crosses the destination of each active load against the origin of planned loads within the radius operations sets per vertical.
Incremental margin
Estimates the margin of every return through the suite pricing engine or a configurable formula while the engine calibrates.
One-click approval
Presents opportunities ranked by margin so operations approves or discards each one before any kind of contact with the carrier.
Carrier notification
Notifies the winning carrier by WhatsApp or email before departure and logs the acceptance or the rejection directly in the TMS.
With Silia
- Opportunities every 48 hours
- Margin estimated per return
- Carriers told before leaving
System
System integrations
Silia connects live to the systems your business runs on: it updates records, triggers workflows and confirms actions.
